Props to those of you knocking it out of the park on Mania, or getting S-Ranks on anything as that all seems like a pipe dream for me right now! Is this game really that much more difficult than the originals, or am I just exceptionally bad at this one? Now on Stage 10, I'm struggling with the section with the 3 biker girls and the shower of grenades, as by the time I make it through that section, again, I'm low on lives so I just get destroyed in the construction site. The elevator in Stage 9 was particularly brutal as I was low on lives when I got to it, and the pair of Goros kept punching me across the screen all the time, out of the windows on either side of elevator.
I've not been using assists, on principal, but there's sections of each stage that are just kicking my ass. As a veteran Streets of Rage player, having beaten the previous 3 games more times than I care to count over the last 20-odd years, I am finding Streets of Rage 4 insanely difficult - far more difficult than "normal" should be, IMO. I've only just been able to jump into Streets of Rage 4 since I decided to wait for the physical release and I've currently managed to struggle my way up to Stage 10.
